Why most website photos underperform
There are five patterns we see repeatedly — and they each silently cost conversions:
- Shot for print, not screen — high-resolution DSLR photos uploaded directly to WordPress often weigh 3–8MB each. This destroys page speed and penalises Google rankings — regardless of visual quality.
- Wrong aspect ratios — hero images need 16:9, product tiles need 1:1, team photos need 4:3. Photos taken without web layout in mind crop badly and lose the subject at the most important focal point.
- Inconsistent visual style — mixing phone photos, old DSLR shots, and stock images on the same page signals a lack of professionalism immediately, even to untrained eyes.

- Alt text recommendations — written alt text for every image for accessibility and SEO.
- Video post-production — for video packages: editing, colour grade, background music licensed, captions, and exported in web-ready MP4 (H.264) and vertical format for Reels/Stories.

How a shoot works — 5 steps
From brief to published photos, here is the full process:
We review your website wireframe or layout and create a precise shot list — hero banner, section backgrounds, team photos, product tiles, and any specific lifestyle scenarios. Nothing is left to improvise on shoot day.
We confirm the shoot date around your website development timeline, scout the location, and plan lighting setup. For F&B and hospitality, we coordinate with your team on staff availability and props.
Professional photographer (and videographer for Premium) on location. Full lighting equipment. Lifestyle direction for hospitality and F&B clients. You or a nominated team member is present to approve key shots.
Photos colour-graded, retouched, and exported at web-optimised dimensions and file sizes. Video edited with colour grade, music, captions, and horizontal + vertical exports.
Files delivered via Google Drive in a folder structure matching your website pages. If we are also building your website, we handle the integration directly — no file handover needed.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to provide a brief or can you figure out what's needed?
We create the brief. Before any shoot is scheduled, we review your website layout (or wireframe if still in development) and produce a precise shot list specifying exactly what is needed for each page section. Most clients have never thought in terms of hero banners, section backgrounds, and product tiles — we translate the website layout into shoot requirements so nothing is missed.
Can you recommend a photographer if I manage the shoot myself?
Yes. We maintain a vetted list of Bali-based photographers across hospitality, F&B, product, and corporate specialisations. If you prefer to manage the shoot independently, we can provide recommendations and the shot list brief at no charge as part of your website project.
What if I already have photos from a previous shoot?
Send them over and we will assess usability. We check resolution, aspect ratios, web optimisation potential, and style consistency against your new website design. Often 30–50% of existing photos are usable after web optimisation; the rest we schedule to reshoot.
How long does photo editing and delivery take?
Starter and Growth packages: 5 business days from shoot date. Premium (with video): 7 business days. Rush delivery (3 business days) is available at a 30% surcharge.
Are drone / aerial shots included in all packages?
Drone photography is included in Premium only. It can be added to Growth as an optional extra (from Rp 1.5 million / AUD 300). All drone operations comply with Indonesian DGCA regulations — we only operate in approved zones.
Do you shoot outside Bali?
Jakarta and other major Indonesian cities by quote (travel and accommodation additional). For international shoots, contact us to discuss.
